City Harvest Church is proud to present, as part of its inaugural Asia Conference, A.C. Golf Cup 2008! It will be played at the prestigious Laguna National Golf & Country Club, home to the Singapore Caltex Masters on 18 Nov, Tuesday (AM).

No prior handicap is required for the competition. Handicap will be based on the Double Peoria handicapping system.
A goodie bag will also be given to all participants.
Laguna National is located in the eastern part of Singapore, less than 8 minutes from Singapore Changi International Airport. 2 major expressways - the ECP and the PIE, lead to Laguna National. From the airport, take the ECP... filter into the PIE... exit at Changi South Ave 3... and cross into Laguna Golf Green at the Xilin Ave traffic junction.
FORMAT OF PLAY
The tournament will consist of a single round of 18 holes in accordance with rules of golf as approved by R&A, the USGA, and the local rules of Laguna National Golf & Country Club. Format of play - Stableford; Handicapping system - Double Peoria. All play shall be from the respective tee-boxes: Men - white; Ladies - red. The maximum allowable playoff handicap will be 24 for men and 36 for ladies. The handicap range as determined by the organising committee will be final. As handicaps will be awarded based on the Double Peoria system, the round will be played according to stroke play tournament rules with one exception - please pick up your ball when your score for any hole is double par or more (i.e. double par is the maximum score).
DOUBLE PEORIA HANDICAP SYSTEM
Double Peoria is a same-day handicapping system. It allows golfers who do not have a handicap index to play golf tournaments and compete for low net titles or prizes. Here's how it works. The tournament committee secretly selects 6 holes which will not be disclosed to competitors beforehand. Groups tee off and complete their rounds playing stroke play with the exception stated above (max score of double par). Following completion of play, the 6 non-handicap holes are announced. Each player's score for the remaining 12 Double Peoria holes are tallied. The sum is multiplied by 1.5 (to simulate 18 holes), and par is then subtracted from that total. The resulting value is then multiplied by 80% - which is the competitor's handicap allowance for the round.
STABLEFORD POINTS FORMAT
In Stableford, players accumulate points in relation to their strokes played per hole. They are awarded 1 point for a net bogey, 2 points for a net par, 3 points for a net birdie, 4 points for a net eagle, etc. No points are awarded for a net double bogey or worse. The winner is the golfer with the most points at the end of the game.
